	•	All full-time first-year undergraduate students (local residents) from any discipline of the 7 universities in Hong Kong
	•	5 students will be selected from each university

Young Leaders Development Program 2008 Training Programs

	1. Orientation Training Camp
	1.1. Self-Positioning Workshop • Identify strengths and weaknesses • Define and identify areas to be improved • Set personal action plan for further development     1.2. Social Skills Workshop • Understand the importance of social skills and manner • Understand social norms

	2. Social Service Workshops I and II
	• Understand the need for community returns • Learn the steps of organizing a service • Organize a service and serve those in need

	3. Communication Skills Workshop
	• Understand the audience • Identify different social styles • Acquire effective communication skills • Learn to handle questions and feedback • Grasp the key elements of persuasive speech

	4. Adventure Leadership Training Camp
	• Enhance their capability in time management and resources allocation • Learn the skills that are involved in communicating with team members through dramatic experiences and consequential learning situations in outdoor settings

	5. Leadership Workshop
	• Understand the traits of an effective leader • Identify different leadership styles • Study the qualities of a leader • Personal sharing of graduate alumni on the essence of leadership and personal experience

	6. Professional Image Workshop
	• Understand the importance of professional image • Learn the appropriate dress code

	7. Speakers' Platform
	• Learn leadership skills from business leaders or social celebrities via experience sharing on their personal lives

	• Understand the history, functions, and types of insurance products • Learn the structure and operations of an insurance company • Visit various departments of American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited

	10. Overseas Study Tour
	• Broaden the horizon • Explore the life and culture of different countries

	11. Research Project
	• Complete a final project and present it to the panel of judges • Participants will be divided into 7 groups according to their universities

	12. Reviewing Camp
	• Re-examine the leadership skills • Set personal goals for future development plans
