New Appointments at AIA

   
Hong Kong, November 7, 2005 - American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) has announced the following new appointments:

Stephen Lee as Vice President, Accident and Health Riders Department;
Miranda Leung as Vice President, Life Operations Department;
Lisa Ng as Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department;
Jones Lam as Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department; and
Stewart Lee as Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department.

Stephen Lee has been promoted to Vice President, Accident and Health Riders Department. He is responsible for devising product and marketing strategy for the development and distribution of personal accident and health business. Mr. Lee joined AIA in 2001 and headed the Operations section of Group, Credit Life and Health Services. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from York University, Canada. He is also a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).

Promoted to Vice President, Life Operations Department, Miranda Leung is responsible for overseeing the key areas of Life Operations Department, including underwriting, policyowners' service and claims. She has over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry. She joined AIA in 1998 with a key management role in the operations department. Ms. Leung is a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).

Lisa Ng joined AIA in 1996. She has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department. Ms. Ng is responsible for agency force development and assists management to provide effective supervision and support for the agency as well as to develop and implement strategic plan for agency force expansion. Ms. Ng holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong. She has achieved the designations in Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Professional, Customer Service (PCS) and Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC).

Jones Lam is appointed Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department. He is responsible for the management of the Financial Planner Division as well as devising strategic plans for agency force expansion. Mr. Lam has 14 years of experience in the areas of agency recruitment, training and development. He holds a Master Degree in Finance Services from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Registered Financial Planner in Hong Kong and the United States and a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).

Stewart Lee is appointed Assistant Vice President and Director of Agency, Agency Administration Department. He will assist management in developing and implementing strategic plans for agency expansion and management. Mr. Lee has over 18 years of experience in the areas of agency development, management & training, marketing and sales of bancassurance and MPF. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (Sales and Marketing) from the West Coast Institute of Management & Technology in Australia and a Graduate Diploma in International Business from the Australian Institute of Export.
