February 3, 2006, Hong Kong – The AIA Foundation has been supporting the fundraising event, MSF Orienteering Competition, for its fifth consecutive years. The event, organized by the Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), was successfully held in Hok Tau, Fanling on Jan 22. Over HK$1.6 million was raised, in which more than HK$320,000 came from the AIA Foundation.
This fundraising event has attracted more than 1,800 participants, the AIA Foundation also mobilized over 350 AIA staff, agents as well as members of Young Leaders Alumni to participate in the challenge. The number of participants increased significantly this year and AIA team members won various fundraising awards. For their enthusiastic support, AIA Foundation was presented the Excellent Organization Fundraising Award and the Organization Fundraising Award. The participants of AIA Foundation also won the All Categories Champion Award.
Ms. Jacqueline Kam of AIA Foundation said, "We are glad to support this meaningful fundraising event for the fifth year. We have set new records in both the number of participants and the donation amount, and this means that more victims of war or natural disasters can obtain assistance from MSF's worldwide medical relief work. This encouraging result depends on the support from AIA staff, agents as well as members of the Young Leaders Alumni. We hope that everyone can exude their kindness and generously help the needy in the world."

The organizer aims to raise the awareness of the survival of those populations in danger through this event. Amounts raised will be allocated to MSF for its emergency medical assistance to populations in more than 70 countries.
