March 7, 2006, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) launched a brand new insurance plan, "Comfort Term Life Plan - 20 Years", offering policyholders maximum protection at a relatively low premium with extra flexibilities to help them achieve their financial goals.

Ms. Lisa Lai, Vice President and Head of Marketing at AIA said: "People have different goals at different stages of life. When you are facing critical moments in life, protection for the family will be very essential. The new "Comfort Term Life Plan - 20 years" provides higher life protection at a competitive premium. For instance, a male aged 30 can enjoy 20 years life protection of HK$1,000,000 for a monthly premium of no more than HK$240.*"

With minimum sum assured starting from US$100,000 or HK$750,000, the "Comfort Term Life Plan - 20 Years" is available to those aged between 16 and 60. This plan is renewable at the end of each 20-year period up to the age of 80. Premiums are guaranteed to remain unchanged within each 20-year period. Customers can leave their worries behind and enjoy better financial planning within the coverage period.

Policyholders of "Comfort Term Life Plan - 20 Years" can also enjoy guaranteed conversion privileges, which allow them to convert this term policy into a whole life plan at the same sum assured before age 60 without the need to provide health declarations or to conduct any further medical examinations. Moreover, a wide range of optional riders on accident, medical, hospitalization, or waiver of premium benefits are available to be attached to the plan, so that customers can enjoy comprehensive insurance coverage.
