| AIA Athletes Insurance Awards Provide Life Coverage of Over HK$25 Million to Medal Winners at the Doha Asian Games |

January 22, 2007, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) today held the presentation ceremony for the AIA Athletes Insurance Awards. At the ceremony, 42 local Hong Kong athletes who took home medals at last month's Doha Asian Games were awarded HK$25,845,000 worth of life insurance plans in recognition of their outstanding performance. Mr Alwin Lam, Chairman and Mr Derek Yung, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AIA congratulated the Hong Kong delegation on their accomplishments at the Doha Asian Games. By winning 6 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals, the athletes have marked a golden milestone in Hong Kong's history of sports. Mr Derek Yung said, "As a good corporate citizen, AIA has always supported the development of sports in Hong Kong. Established in 2004, the AIA Athletes Insurance Awards is our largest-ever sports sponsorship program. Through rewarding local athletes who represent Hong Kong at the 2004 Olympics, 2005 Asian Games and 2006 East Asian Games with Whole Life Savings Insurance Plan and 15-Year Term Insurance Plan, we wish to pay tribute to our Hong Kong medal winners by offering them concrete life protection, enabling them to enjoy each game to the fullest.
