August 13, 2007, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) today announced the appointment of four senior executives.

Mr. Barry Chung has been appointed Vice President and Head of Accident and Health Department. Mr. Chung joined AIA in 1987. In his new role, Mr. Chung is responsible for monitoring the strategic plans for product and business development through diversified distribution channels for Accident and Health businesses. He is a Certified Compliance Analyst, Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of American Academy of Financial Management. Mr. Chung also holds a double Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business and Administrative Studies from the York University in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Philip Fu has been appointed Assistant Vice President, Accounts Department. He is responsible for developing and enhancing the financial accounting systems to fulfill corporate and regulatory requirements. Mr. Fu has 17 years' experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Fu has various professional qualifications. He is a Certified Public Accountant of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Fellow of Life Management Institute. Mr. Fu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Ms. Myra Lee has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Actuarial Department. In her new role, Ms. Lee oversees the actuarial function of the department. An actuary by training, she has 12 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US). Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from The University of Hong Kong.

Ms. Warana Yip has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Agency Training Department. Ms. Yip is responsible for agency recruitment and training for experienced AIA representatives. She brings more than 20 years of experience gained within the insurance sector. She is a Registered Financial Planner and holds professional insurance qualifications such as Fellow of Life Management Institute, Associate of Insurance Agency Administration and Associate of Customer Service. Ms. Yip is a graduate of Bulacan State University, Philippines and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Risk Management).
