| AIA Receives Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award for Four Consecutive Years |

August 16, 2007, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) announced today that it has won a Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award for 2006-2007 (Insurance Category) for the fourth consecutive year. Emotive Brand Awards, AIA received the Gold Award for Hong Kong in Reader's Digest Trusted Brands and the Finance Category Award in the Hong Kong Superbrands for the fourth consecutive year in 2007. The Company also won the Best Overall International Brand at the Hong Kong Superbrands for the second consecutive year, and was honored as Caring Company for the fifth consecutive year, reflecting the general public's recognition of its service excellence. Yahoo! Emotive Brand Awards are offered to brands that are most appealing to the general consumers in Hong Kong. A total of 251 brands in 19 industry categories were nominated to compete for the Awards. The nominated brands were first selected by a survey conduced by Synovate with marketing professionals and senior executives from leading advertising and marketing agencies. The nominated brands were then entered into online public vote with the final results reviewed by a panel of judges. This year, the number of votes totaled 500,000. The three brands with the highest number of votes in each category received the honor.
