November 6, 2007, Hong Kong ¡V American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) today announced one senior promotion and two new appointments.

Ms. Rita Chu has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Human Resources. In her new role, Ms. Chu expands her scope of responsibilities to assume a deputy role in the daily management of the Human Resources Department. She is responsible for monitoring the functions and activities in the areas of training and development, recruitment, selection and planning. Ms. Chu brings with her some 15 years of human resources management, training and development experience gained within the insurance sector and other financial institutions. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of Hong Kong and a Master's degree in Training and Performance Management from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.

Mr. Andrew Wong and Ms. Jessie Lam have been appointed Assistant Vice Presidents of Investment Linked Business Department. They will participate in developing business strategies and product plans to help achieve top line business results.

Mr. Wong oversees both the business support team and investment research team related to linked business. Specializing in private wealth management and the development and promotion of financial products, he has a wealth of experience gained from several senior positions in the financial services industry. Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Sciences from The University of Southern California and is currently reading a part-time law degree at the University of London.

Ms. Lam oversees the business development team and is responsible for agency communication and promotion on investment linked business. She is a seasoned professional with 16 years experience in the financial services industry. Ms. Lam graduated from the University of Western Sydney with Master degree in Applied Finance.
