| AIA Announces New Appointments |

March 14, 2008, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) today announced two senior promotions and one new appointment. Donald Chan has been promoted to Vice President and Head of Investment Linked Business. In his new role, Mr. Chan is responsible for exploring business opportunity and managing the growth of AIA¡¦s investment linked business. He will also focus on business strategy planning, enhancement of support to the agency force and customer services for the investment linked business. Mr. Chan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience. He joined AIA in 2002 and brings nearly 15 years of experience gained within the investment sector. Jones Lam has been promoted to Vice President and Head of Financial Planning. Mr. Lam is in charge of developing and implementing strategy for Financial Planner (FP) expansion, formulating initiatives and monitoring FP development. He is also responsible for recruiting Financial Planners, enhancement of support and customer services to the FP team. Mr. Lam brings 18 years of experience gained within the insurance sector and other financial institutions. He holds a Master¡¦s Degree of Business Administration in Financial Services from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and has achieved the designations of Certified Financial Management Planner (CFMP), Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI). Mr. Lam is also a Founding Member of the Society of Registered Financial Planners and a member of the Founding Committee of Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong. Michael Kwok has been appointed Assistant Vice President of Marketing Department. Mr. Kwok is responsible for product advertising and marketing communication, as well as strategic planning to help achieve top line business results. He will also implement the service visions and strategies to ensure quality service is provided to the agency force. Mr. Kwok has extensive experience in marketing and communication gained from banking and telecommunication industry.
