The Outstanding
Brand Awards 2008 aims to recognize companies which have shown innovation
and excellence in strategic promotion and brand building. Economic
Digest and a team of specialists nominated over 100 institutions. Twenty
companies from different fields were elected as winners by specialists
and the public, based on 3 judging criteria. These criteria included
the performance of the brands in the past 10 or more years, brand awareness
among the public, and performance of its promotional and market development
strategy. Specialists on the judging panel were from trade associations,
professional organizations and the academic field.The vote ratio was
30% from the specialists and 70% from the public.
