June 26, 2008, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) today announced the appointment of Ms. Panky Poon as Vice President and Assistant General Manager, Strategy and Development.

Ms. Poon is responsible for overseeing the execution and management of strategic initiatives to identify new areas for growth and sustain market leadership. She is also in charge of directing and monitoring the progress and results of various departments including Marketing, Customer Management Group and Business Development.

Ms. Poon has been with AIG since June 1999 and has held several senior positions in different AIG companies. She was the General Manager of AIG Credit Card Company (Hong Kong) Limited and President & CEO of AIG Finance (Hong Kong) Limited. Prior to this appointment at AIA, she was Vice President of Regional AIG Relationship in AIG Consumer Finance Group (Asia Region). Ms. Poon is a seasoned business management professional and a financial industry veteran. She holds an MBA Degree from Georgia State University, USA, in addition to her BBA Degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
