AIA Wins Emotive Brand Award Five Years in a Row

   

July 31, 2008, Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) announced that it has won the Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award for 2007-2008 (Insurance Category) for the fifth consecutive year. This public recognition reaffirms AIA's position as the first choice of insurance company for Hong Kong people.

Conducted by Synovate, an international renowned research company, the Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award received a record-breaking number of votes exceeding one million this year. A total of 554 brands in 21 industry categories were initially nominated for the Awards. A public online ballot was then conducted, prompting users to vote for their favorite brands. The top 3 brands that scored the highest number of votes in each category were selected the winners. The Awards aim to recognize companies with good brand value and the winners represent the leading word-of-mouth brands among consumers in Hong Kong.

The Yahoo! Emotive Brand Award is the latest in a string of important accolades won by AIA this year. The Company received the Outstanding Brand Award 2008 presented by Economic Digest, the Gold Award for Hong Kong and the Platinum Award for Asia in the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Awards 2008. AIA was also named among Hong Kong’s Most Valuable Companies 2008 by the Mediazone Group of Publications. These achievements demonstrate that AIA has been widely recognized by customers in both Hong Kong and the rest of Asia.
