May 5, 2004 - Hong Kong – American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (AIA) recently held its Annual Awards Presentation at the Hong Kong Coliseum to recognize the outstanding performance of its agency force.

Officiating guests included Mr. Alwin Lam, Executive Vice President and General Manager of AIA; Mr. Derek Yung, Vice President & Assistant General Manager, Agency of AIA; and many other senior executives from member companies of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). More than 8,000 AIA’s agents, corporate staff, officers and distinguished guests attended the event to grace the occasion.

AIA presented over 1,000 awards to professional insurance agents who achieved outstanding performance in 2003. The “District of the Year 2003”

award went to the GIA-Apex District while the “District Director of the Year 2003” award went to Mr. Alfred Wong, Senior District Director of Phoenix District. In addition, AIA Hong Kong outshone other operations in the Southeast Asian region for the second successive year and was presented the Chief Agency Officer Production Plaque 2003.
