Protection Accumulator Rider is specially designed for certain designated Basic Policies; no medical examination is required for enrolment and its issue is guaranteed.



	One Premium for All, and Guaranteed Issuance Protection Accumulator Rider is a guaranteed issue rider for an Insured who is aged between 16 and 65. It is renewable up to age 75.

Highlights of the Protection Accumulator Rider
	Accidental Death & Dismemberment / Permanent Total Disability Benefit Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit: In the unfortunate event that the Insured suffers from any of the covered losses within 180 days after the date of an accident, a benefit^#1 will be payable. Permanent Total Disability Benefit: If the Insured becomes totally and permanently disabled within 180 days after the date of an accident, then a Permanent Total Disability Benefit equal to 1% of the Principal Sum will be payable each month up to a maximum of 100 months. You can select the Principal Sum of the Accidental Death & Dismemberment / Permanent Total Disability Benefit from a range of US$18,000 to 10 times the annual regular premium of the relevant designated Basic Policy^#2.
	Anniversary Bonus When the Protection Accumulator Rider has been in force for 5 years, the Principal Sum of the Accidental Death & Dismemberment / Permanent Total Disability Benefit will automatically increase by 50%^#3 without any additional premium.
	Income Protection Benefit If the Insured becomes totally and permanently disabled due to an accident, in addition to the Permanent Total Disability Benefit (described above), we will provide an extra benefit, i.e. an Income Protection Benefit equal to 1% of the latest Principal Sum per month^#4 up to a maximum of 60 months.
	Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services If the Insured has an accident or falls ill while traveling outside Hong Kong and Macau and needs emergency evacuation, AIAS can arrange for the Insured in relation to the transportation to a medical centre with the facilities for treatment. In case of death of the Insured during a trip, AIAS will arrange repatriation of the Insured’s body back to Hong Kong or Macau (as the case may be). All Covered Expenses incurred are fully covered by the Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services.
	24-Hour Worldwide Telephone Enquiry Services As our valued customer, the Insured can enjoy travel telephone enquiry assistance provided by AIAS without additional charges.
	Compassionate Death Benefit^#5 In case of death of the Insured, a Compassionate Death Benefit equals to 0.5% of the latest Principal Sum will be made available to the beneficiary.

Only the loss with the largest amount of Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit will be payable if there is more than one loss from the same accident. This Rider will terminate immediately upon the occurrence of any accident, resulting in payment of the Accidental Death & Dismemberment or Permanent Total Disability Benefit.

The Principal Sum of Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit / Permanent Total Disability Benefit is fixed per one thousand dollar increments. For an Insured aged between 16 and 45, the maximum Protection Accumulator Rider coverage is US$250,000, while the maximum is US$150,000 for an Insured aged between 46 and 65.

The Anniversary Bonus is not applicable to the Income Protection Benefit and Compassionate Death Benefit.

The income amount is calculated based on the latest Principal Sum of the Accidental Death & Dismemberment / Permanent Total Disability benefits, without taking into account any Anniversary Bonus.

When determining the Compassionate Death Benefit, any Anniversary Bonus is excluded. The limit for Compassionate Death Benefit is US$1,300 or HK$/MOP10,000 in aggregate per life irrespective of the number of policies with such benefit the Insured has with us or American International Assurance Company, Limited.
