Salute to their selfless contributions

As AIA Hong Kong recognises the need for protection against the Novel Coronavirus for a group of frontline unsung heroes, the Company is stepping in to fill this protection gap by providing "Novel Coronavirus – Free Cover for Frontline Cleaning Workers”, offering all frontline cleaning workers1 HK$/MOP15,000 free Lump Sum Benefit and HK$/MOP15,000 Death Benefit. This free cover does not require any pre-registration or insurance purchase, as AIA Hong Kong aims to give this group of workers, who are safeguarding the health of the people in Hong Kong and Macau, peace of mind while boosting their morale.

Mr. Peter Crewe, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said: "AIA Hong Kong is deeply rooted and committed to Hong Kong and Macau. We have been closely monitoring the development of Novel Coronavirus, and proactively responding to it by providing comprehensive protection for the people of Hong Kong and Macau. Over the past months, cleaning workers have also been fighting on the frontline. AIA Hong Kong is hugely grateful for their selfless dedication. This free cover is our way of expressing our gratitude to this group of unsung heroes, building a safety net for this possibly overlooked group and exemplifying the core purpose of insurance. AIA Hong Kong will continue to stay vigilant to the latest development of the disease in order to provide appropriate and comprehensive support in a timely manner, joining hands with the community to conquer the challenge."

The free cover is available from now until 30 April 2020 for all frontline cleaning workers1 in Hong Kong and Macau with no pre-registration or insurance purchase required.
