AIA Hong Kong & Macau Honorary Chairman Mr. Alwin Lam has been honoured with the special “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the “Hong Kong Insurance Awards 2018”, organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI). This highest honour recognises Mr. Lam's lifelong dedication to the Hong Kong insurance industry. With his wisdom and visionary leadership, Mr. Lam has made a significant contribution in promoting industry development and in enhancing its stature and reputation.

Mr. Lam has made enormous contributions to the industry and has also held various roles in industry associations. He was a member of the Insurance Advisory Committee of the HKSAR and Deputy Chairman of the Life Insurance Council of the HKFI. He participated in the formulation of professional guidelines which have greatly enhanced the level of professionalism among industry practitioners. He was also named “China Insurance Person of the Year” and won the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the International Dragon Award Organisation.

The “Hong Kong Insurance Awards 2018” is organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and co-organised by South China Morning Post. The Awards recognise the industry's top performers. Award winners are selected by a panel of judges comprised of notable and respected figures from across the business, academic and community sectors, ensuring the authority and recognition of the Awards.
