1. When is the Campaign Period of AIA “Junk Fighter 2.0” Minigame Campaign ("Minigame 2.0")?

From 1 November 2023 to 31 January 2024, both dates inclusive.

2. Who is eligible to participate in Minigame 2.0?

Participants, who fulfil the followings conditions, may participate in Minigame 2.0.

  • Linked up their AIA Connect account with their OpenRice account; and
  • are physically in Hong Kong when participating in Minigame 2.0; and
  • have earned AIA Points by performing designated missions through OpenRice mobile app and website.
3. Can non-AIA customers participate in Minigame 2.0?

Yes. Non-AIA customers who have met the participation requirement can also participate.

4. How do I participate in Minigame 2.0?

Eligible Participants can earn AIA Points during the Campaign Period by completing the following missions. Every 10 AIA Points represent one Minigame 2.0 chance.

Participants who accumulate the highest scores during each calendar month of the Campaign Period will receive a Monthly Grand Prize.

In case of tied scores, ranking will be determined in chronological order. For example, if multiple participants reach the same highest score within a calendar month, the first Participant to reach that score will be the Champion, the second Participant to reach that same score will be the First Runner-up, and so on.

6. How do I know what prize I have won?

Prizes for each game:

Participants will know their score and corresponding prize for each game immediately after each game. The Rice Dollar reward from each game will be deposited into the Eligible Participant's OpenRice account that was linked with their AIA Connect account on the next day of the game. In case of any system errors, we may need longer time to process.



Monthly grand prize:

AIA will notify the monthly grand prize winners by email or phone within 15 business days after the end of each calendar month. The corresponding Rice Dollars will also be deposited into the Eligible Participant’s OpenRice account that was linked with their AIA Connect account accordingly.

7. Why is my AIA Points balance on my OpenRice app different from the balance shown in Minigame 2.0?

AIA Points balance on the OpenRice platform is being updated at 3 a.m. each day. If AIA Points have been used for Minigame 2.0 during the day, record on the OpenRice app will be updated at 3 a.m. the next day.

8. Can AIA Points be used for any other thing other than participating in Minigame 2.0?

Not at the moment. However, we update the ways of earning and burning AIA Points from time to time, please follow our campaigns and events to get the latest information.

9. Will my AIA Points earned in previous AIA Eat-to-Win Lucky Draw Campaign (Wave 1) and (Wave 2) be carried over for Minigame2.0?

AIA Points earned in the previous AIA Eat-to Win Lucky Draw Campaign (Wave 1) (campaign period: 21 November 2022 to 20 February 2023) and (Wave 2) (campaign period: 20 February 2023 to 20 May 2023) have been reset to zero on 20 February 2023 and 20 May 2023 respectively. They will not be carried over for the Minigame 2.0.

10. Will my AIA Points earned in the previous AIA “Junk Fighter” Minigame be carried over for Minigame 2.0?

AIA Points earned in the previous AIA "Junk Fighter" Minigame can continue to be used for Minigame 2.0. However game score will not be carried over for Minigame 2.0.

11. How many times can I play Minigame 2.0 each week?

Each participant can play up to 25 times per week. The quota is reset every Monday.

12. What is RiceDollar?

Rice Dollars can be used for payment within the OpenRice platform. For more details, please visit https://www.openrice.com

13. Can I transfer the AIA Points or RiceDollar in my account to my friends?

AIA Points and RiceDollar are not transferrable or cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any substitutes.

14. Is there any limit for earning Rice Dollars in Minigame 2.0?

Yes, the limit is up to $120 Rice Dollars per game, plus Monthly Grand Prizes are up to $6,000 Rice Dollars per month.

2. How to register "AIA Connect" account?

After installing the "AIA Connect" Mobile App, a New user can select "New User Registration". Follow the instructions to register an account by providing an Email address and Mobile number.

3. I have registered "AIA Connect" account before but forgot the Login ID & Password. How could I retrieve the login details?

Users can select "Forgot login id/password" in the "AIA Connect" Mobile APP and follow the instructions to provide their Email and Mobile Number for Login ID recovery and password reset.

4. I did not receive "AIA Connect" new password. What shall I do?

After you have submitted the request for creating a new password, you will receive a new OTP within 1 hour (by SMS or email). If no mobile number has been registered in your Easy Login ID before, please note that the new password letter will be sent by post within 3 working days.

5. I did not receive One-Time-Passcode (OTP). What shall I do?

1. What is AIA Dining Cover?

AIA Dining Cover is a general insurance product that provides accidental hospital income benefit and accidental death benefit for designated accidents that directly resulting from covered restaurant reservation. It is underwritten by AIA International Limited (a company incorporated in Bermuda with limited liability) ("AIA").

If you have already connected your AIA Connect account with your OpenRice account, every time you make a reservation at a Hong Kong restaurant on OpenRice App, on the "Booking Success" page, you will be able to see the AIA Dining Cover marketing banner placed by AIA, through which you can visit AIA website to understand more and apply for this insurance product.

2. What are the benefits of AIA Dining Cover?

1. Accidental hospital income benefit

Covering hospitalisation^ from COVID-19, bodily injuries, traffic accidents or food poisoning from covered restaurant reservations (HK$800 hospital income per day, up to 10 days per insured during the coverage period* and 40 days per calendar year per insured across all AIA Dining Cover policies).

When the incident happens as follow:

i. COVID19 diagnosis within five days after the reservation time^
ii. Bodily injury incurred within one hour before or three hours after the reservation time in the restaurant area
iii. Traffic accident incurred on the journey to and from the restaurant within three hours before and/or five hours after the reservation time iv. Food poisoning incurred within twenty-four hours after reservation time

2. Accidental death benefit

HK$10,000 lump sum payment per life in case of insured's death from the above incidents within 35 days after the reservation.

^exclude community isolation facilities and community treatment facilities

*within 35 days after the reservation time

3. When can I apply AIA Dining Cover?

AIA Dining Cover can be applied on or before 30 November, 2023 for restaurant reservation via OpenRice on or before 15 January 2024.

4. Who is eligible to AIA Dining Cover?

AIA Dining Cover provides protection for:

Primary Insured:

  • Age between 18 and 70, residing in Hong Kong and a holder of HKID card.

Additional Insured:

  • Legally married spouse of Primary Insured: Age up to 70, residing in Hong Kong and a holder of HKID card.
  • Child (natural, step or adopted) of Primary Insured: Age between 14 days and age 17, residing in Hong Kong, a holder of HKID card or with Hong Kong birth certificate, unmarried.
  • Each AIA Dining Cover policy can enroll up to 10 Additional Insureds.

All applicant(s) and insured(s) must be residing and locating in Hong Kong at the time of policy application.

5. Can I add friend(s) or other family member(s) as Additional Insured?

You can add your legally married spouse and minor, unmarried child(ren) as Additional Insured.

If you are dining with your friends and other family members, you can forward the AIA Dining Cover application link to them after your application, so that they can enjoy the coverage as well.

6. How can I purchase AIA Dining Cover?

If you have already connected your AIA Connect account with your OpenRice account, every time you make a reservation at a Hong Kong restaurant on OpenRice App, on the 'Booking Success' page, you will be able to see the AIA Dining Cover marketing banner placed by AIA, through which you can visit AIA website to understand more and apply for this insurance product.

If you are dining with your friends and other family members, you can forward the AIA Dining Cover application link to them after your application, so that they can enjoy the coverage as well.

7. How can I forward the "AIA Dining Cover" application to friends and family?

1. Click "Copy share link" after completing "AIA Dining Cover" application
2. Paste and forward the link to friends and family going to the same restaurant reservation
3. Friends and family click the link and be directed to AIA website to learn more about "AIA Dining Cover" and to complete the application

8. If the Insured is first confined and then passes away directly due to a covered incident within the coverage period, will both Accidental Hospital Income Benefit and Accident Death Benefit be paid?

Yes, we will pay both Accidental Hospital Income Benefit and Accidental Death Benefit if the insured is confined and subsequently dies directly due to a covered incident.

9. If the Insured is confined, or passes away as a result of 2 or more covered incidents (e.g. COVID 19 and Food poisoning under the same covered reservation), can the benefit be paid twice or more?

Regardless of number of covered incidents resulting in the same confinement, or death of the same Insured, we will pay the benefit once only.

10. If the Insured is confined, or passes away when being covered by 2 or more AIA Dining Cover policies, can the benefit be paid twice or more?

Regardless of number of policies covering the same confinement, or death of the same Insured, we will pay the benefit once only.

11. Is there a limit on number of active AIA Dining Cover policies I hold at the same time?

There is no limit on number of active policies for multiple reservations you can hold at a time. However only one AIA Dining Cover policy can be issued for each reservation. Regardless of number of policies you hold, Accidental Hospital Income Benefit is subject to 40 days per calendar year per insured, and Accidental Death Benefit is subject to once per life per Insured only.

12. How can I check my AIA Dining Cover policy information?

You may access the policy detail at AIA website through (i) AIA Dining Cover policy confirmation SMS/ Email, (ii) AIA Connect app, (iii) clicking the AIA Dining Cover marketing banner placed by AIA along the covered restaurant reservation detail on OpenRice App. (Only applicable to the customer who booked the restaurant via OpenRice platform), (iv) on AIA Dining Cover website, and click “Check policy detail” button.

13. What will happen to the purchased AIA Dining Cover if the restaurant reservation date and/or time has been changed?

If new restaurant reservation date is on or before 15 January 2024”

When the change is made more than 15 minutes before original reservation date and time, your policy coverage period will follow the reservation date and time after the change. Please note:

  • if only the reservation time is changed (and no change for the date), there will be no amendment to any policy document.
  • if the reservation date is changed, you will receive a new Certificate of Insurance, after one hour from the change, which supersedes all previous Certificates of Insurance issued under the same policy number.

If you make any change on your reservation without using OpenRice, no policy related amendment can be made. You will not receive any protection from this policy and the premium will not be refunded.

If new restaurant reservation date on or after 16 January 2024”

We will not issue a new certificate of insurance for the changed booking and relevant policies will not be payable for any benefits.

14. What will happen to the AIA Dining Cover policy if the restaurant reservation has been cancelled?

If the restaurant reservation has been cancelled at least four hours before the reservation time, your AIA Dining Cover policy will be automatically cancelled, and you will receive a redemption voucher in the amount of premium paid, after one hour from the cancellation, for your next AIA Dining Cover purchase.

The voucher has to be used within three months from the cancellation and cannot be redeemed in cash.

15. How can I file a claim?

You may access the policy details at AIA website through (i) AIA Dining Cover policy confirmation SMS/ Email, (ii) AIA Connect app, (iii) AIA Dining Cover marketing banner placed by AIA along the covered restaurant reservation detail on OpenRice App (Only applicable to the customer who booked the restaurant via OpenRice platform), (iv) on AIA Dining Cover website, and click "Check policy detail" button.

Then, select 'Apply claim' under corresponding AIA Dining Cover policy.

16. How long after an accident should the claim be filed?

You are required to file a claim within 30 days after the date of hospital discharge. In the event of death, please contact us for claims as soon as practicable.

17. Can AIA cancel my AIA Dining Cover policy?

We have the right to cancel your AIA Dining Cover policy at any time by giving 14 days' notice in writing to you.

  • When the reservation date falls within the 14 days' notice period, all benefit entitlements will follow standard terms and conditions.
  • When the reservation date is beyond the 14 days' notice period, the policy will be cancelled at the end of 14 days' notice period and no coverage will be provided. We will refund the actual premium paid by you.

We will not cancel the policy if you have already attended to the restaurant before we issue the written notice. All benefit entitlements will follow standard terms and conditions.

18. What will happen to my unused redemption voucher if AIA ceases the AIA Dining Cover?

For customers who obtain the voucher via cancellation in previous AIA Dining Cover policies, we shall refund the actual premium paid by you for all unused redemption voucher you hold.

AIA Eat-to-Win Lucky Draw Campaign (Wave 2)

1. Who is eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw Campaign?

This Campaign is only applicable to persons ("Participants") who:

  • are aged 18 or above;
  • are holders of a valid Hong Kong Identity Card;
  • are holders of a valid Hong Kong registered mobile phone number or email address;
  • are holders of OpenRice members and AIA Connect User accounts and
  • earn AIA Point by performing missions through OpenRice mobile app and website within the Campaign Period.
2. Can non-AIA customers join the Lucky Draw Campaign?

Yes. Non-AIA customer(s) who meet(s) the participation requirement can also join this Campaign.

3. When is the promotion period of the Lucky Draw Campaign?

This Campaign starts from 21 February 2023 to 20 May 2023, both dates inclusive ("Campaign Period"), and is divided into 3 Mission Periods ("Mission Period") as follows:

  • Mission Period 1: 21 February 2023 to 20 March 2023
  • Mission Period 2: 21 March 2022 to 20 April 2023
  • Mission Period 3: 21 April 2023 to 20 May 2023

Participants who finish at least one Mission in any one Mission Period will be automatically enrolled in the Grand Lucky Draw.

4. How do I join the AIA Eat-to-Win Lucky Draw Campaign?

Participants can earn AIA Point by completing the following missions. Every '10 AIA Points' refers to 1 game chance.

6. When will the drawings be conducted? How do I find the results?

Winners of each Mission Period and Grand Lucky Draw will be drawn randomly by the computer system. The Winner List will be announced through the following channels and dates:

7. Can I win more than one prize?

In Mission Period 1-3, there is no limit on the amount of AIA Point to be accumulated in each Mission Period.

Mission Period 1 to Mission Period 3: Every entry has a chance to get one prize, that means, one participant can get more than one prize in each period by completing more missions and hence earning more entries.

Grand lucky draw after three Mission Periods: Grand Lucky Draw chances will be based on chances accumulated in all Mission Periods. Each AlA Connect User account can only win at most one Grand Lucky Draw prize. During the Grand Lucky Draw prize redemption, if it is found an individual customer owns more than one AIA Connect accounts and so get more than one Grand Lucky Draw prizes, AIA reserves the right to reward only one Grand Lucky Draw Prize (the one with the higher stated value in the gift table under Clause 8 in this promotion Terms and Conditions).

8. Can I nominate my relatives/ friends to receive my prizes?

The winner should collect the prize(s) in person.

9. What documents are required for prize redemption?

If the prize is in electronic format, AIA will contact the winner through AIA Connect Push Notification and has the discretion to notify winners by email or SMS if applicable.

If the prize is a physical good, the winner has to bring along Hong Kong Identity Card and award email to the redemption centre to redeem the prize(s). If the winner fails to present the required documents, AIA reserves the right to disqualify the winner.
