AIA Global Ambassador David Beckham Makes Mooncakes for a Good Cause Beckham in Hong Kong for first leg of AIA Healthy Living Tour

19 September 2017
AIA Group Limited (“AIA” or the “Company”; stock code: 1299) announced that its Global Ambassador, David Beckham, arrived in Hong Kong yesterday for the first stop of the AIA Healthy Living tour. Beckham will visit a number of Asian markets* over the next four days to promote the understanding that health is about diet as much as exercise.
With Mid-Autumn Festival fast approaching, AIA invited 40 children from Fresh Fish Traders' School to join Beckham at a healthy mooncake making class. The class taught the children, aged 8 to 9 years old, how to make healthy mooncakes that are also appealing to the taste buds.
David Beckham, said: “It's great to be back in Hong Kong to celebrate Mid-Autumn traditions with the kids by preparing healthy mooncakes. We want to help people take charge of their health in a fun and achievable way. I love cooking for my family and making delicious and healthy food is something I try to do on regular basis.”
Bonnie Tse, General Manager, Business Strategy and Marketing of AIA Hong Kong and Macau, said “David is a global inspirational icon for people of all ages. By accompanying the children in making a popular Chinese festive delicacy, he is helping to promote awareness of healthy eating habits among them at a young age. I am delighted that the children's Mid-Autumn Festival this year will be more enjoyable and unforgettable than ever.”
In addition to the healthy mooncakes handmade at the class, all students from Fresh Fish Traders' School will also receive healthy mooncakes as a festive gift from AIA to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with joy and happiness.
*David Beckham, AIA Global Ambassador, will visit Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia as part of the AIA Healthy Living Tour.
