"AIA Healthiest Schools Challenge 2022/23" Announces Hong Kong Winners

Tsz Wan Shan Saint Bonaventure Catholic Primary School will Represent Hong Kong to Enter the Regional Competition

AIA launched the AIA Healthiest Schools Programme last year with the aim to encourage students to develop healthy habits at an early age. The programme invites all primary schools in Hong Kong to promote healthy lifestyles in the school community and share their success by joining the AIA Healthiest Schools Challenge. One winner and three runners-up have been selected by the judging panel consisting of Dr. Phyllis Chan, Vice-President (General Affairs) of the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists, and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine; Ms Leung Lai Mei Lucilla, Consultant – Education and Child Development of Seedland Educational Charitable Foundation; Mr. Leung Wing Lok, renowned education expert; Mr. Christopher Sin, Chief Executive Officer of Seedland Educational Charitable Foundation; and Mr. Ivan Choi, Director, Marketing and Business Planning of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, with results as follow:
The winning school and three runners-up will receive prizes worth up to a total of US$50,000. The winner, Tsz Wan Shan Saint Bonaventure Catholic Primary School, will continue to the next stage of the competition and represent Hong Kong – competing with the winning schools from Australia, Vietnam and Thailand for the AIA Healthiest Schools Regional Award in the Primary School category.
 
Launched in June 2022, the AIA Healthiest Schools Programme offers primary schools a wide variety of free teaching resources developed by educators, covering the themes of Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyle, Mental Wellbeing, and Health and Sustainability. Schools are encouraged to develop their own plans in promoting healthy lifestyles in the school community and share their models by joining the AIA Healthiest Schools Challenge to win exciting prizes.

It is most encouraging to see that schools in Hong Kong are undertaking proactive efforts to nurture healthy lifestyles among students."
 
AIA Healthiest Schools Programme 2022/23 was carried out in the primary schools in Hong Kong, and primary and secondary schools in Australia, Thailand and Vietnam.
