Hong Kong's Competitiveness Breaks into Global Top Three
The IMD "World Competitiveness Yearbook 2025" primarily analyzes the competitiveness of 69 economies across four major categories: Economic Performance, Government Efficiency, Business Efficiency, and Infrastructure.

Hong Kong ranks second in Business Efficiency, while its score for Economic Performance surged from 11th last year to 6th. Its Infrastructure ranking also improved, moving from 9th to 7th.

Among the various sub-category rankings, Hong Kong holds the world's top spot in Tax Policy and Business Legislation. It also ranks within the top three globally in International Trade, International Investment, Finance, Business Management, and Education.

The World Competitiveness Yearbook 2025 demonstrates that Hong Kong's competitiveness remains at the forefront with an outstanding performance. Let us all continue to work hard in our respective roles to ensure that Hong Kong's overall development continues to thrive and prosper.
