    Cancer can be daunting and frightening, all you need is a comprehensive care plan to help you reduce the risks, get a timely diagnosis and treatment, as well as handling the soaring medical cost. As your trusted partner, AIA goes beyond the traditional insurance products and extends the value-added service on top of your protection. We fully understand that cancer patients have different needs during the journey of cancer care, hence, AIA provides you the tailored services in helping you and your family to ease the worries on your way to fight against cancer and supporting you to get back to healthy life.

    Personal Medical Case Management with Rehabilition Management Services
    - Offers third-party quality independent opinion with personal and dedicated team comprising of a case manager, doctor and nurse and ongoing support for a minimum period of 3 months which is supported by a unique quality-accredited global medical network with collective multidisciplinary opinion to ensures your diagnosis is correct and your treatment plan is personalised

    Designated Hotline for medical enquiry with empathy
    - Provide you with professional medical advice and support through Personal Medical Case Management in assisting you overcome your worries and doubt

    Concierge for Oncology Related Service*
    - Offers a basket of oncology related services arrangement with our designated providers, including coordination for Chinese Medicine Practitioner Consultation, Dietitian Consultation, Psychological Counselling, Physiotherapy, Home Nursing, purchase of medical appliances and outpatient transportation arrangement, to meet your needs

    Caregiver Support
    - Provides simple training and related information to the caregiver, such as the minimal medical support for helping the patients at home and in their daily lives, so that they can get necessary medical support when they are home. Also, it can help ease the caregivers’ worries

    What are Health Pilot services?

    Health Pilot services are a one-stop cancer care solution offered by AIA, which aim to offer a holistic health care with a personalized experience to the customer and their family members on the way to recovery. If the customer is diagnosed with a covered cancer, Health Pilot will offer the tailor value-added services to the customer, which include Personal Medical Case Management and Rehabilitation Management, Designated Hotline for Medical Enquiry with empathy, Concierge for Oncology Related Service, Caregiver Support, Navigate Community Recourse, Cashless hospitalization and Claims Application Consultation and Dedicated Claims Enquiry Hotline.  


    What are the prerequisites for the customer to activate the Health Pilot services? Does the service cost additional fee? If the customer is yet to recover after the end of service period, will the related service continue afterwards?

    In the unfortune event that the customer is diagnosed with covered cancer after he/she applied for eligible product(s), provided that the policy is in effect, the customer is eligible to apply for the one-stop value-added service provided by Health Pilot without any additional fee.  If the customer is yet to recover after the end of service period, Health Pilot will consider extending the service period without charge, subject to the medical condition and request by the customer.

    Please be aware that the charge incurred by service (for example: the oncology related services provided by the designated service provider(s) or the service provided by the non-profit organization(s)) shall be borne by the customers.


    How does the eligible customer activate the Health Pilot services? Does the financial planner able to assist customers in activating the related service?

    Eligible customer may contact the Health Pilot designated hotline at (852) 2232-8128 to activate the service. The service hours will be from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday (except Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays). Financial planner may contact the Health Pilot designated hotline on behalf of their customers to register the service and the Health Pilot will contact the customer for further follow-up.


    For the oncology related service arranged by the Health Pilot, does it applicable for the cashless arrangement? How to arrange for the related claims? Provided that the oncology related service is arranged by the Health Pilot, does it indicate as an approved claims by AIA?

    The arranged service under oncology related service does not provide cashless arrangement. The customer is required to pay for the cost incurred by such service after receiving the treatment. The related claims arrangement shall follow the existing procedure. For details, please refer to “HEALTH CARE & CLAIMS – FILE A CLAIM” at AIA website. Such service is separated from insurance coverage. The provision of service does not imply AIA’s any admission of liability of any benefit claim. Customers are recommended to reference their policy contracts to ensure whether the oncology related service is covered and such service is fully covered. Should you have any enquiries, please contact AIA or your financial planners. 


    If the non-designated service provider is selected by the customer, will the Health Pilot arrange the oncology related service on behalf?

    The concierge arrangement provided by Health Pilot on the oncology related service is only applicable to the designated service provider(s) endorsed by AIA. If the non-designated service provider is selected by the customer, he/she may have to arrange the service on their own.


    What kind of support can be provided by the Health Pilot to the customer on the community support?

    According to the customers’ medical condition and their needs, Health Pilot will consolidate the information and resources offered by the non-profit organization on cancer patients and shares with them when they in need.

Eligibility for the personal medical case management service and rehabilitation management service are subject to evaluation^ by AIA and Medix and the services provided are subject to the terms and conditions of Medix. Please refer to the important information of the Personal Medical Case Management services with Rehabilitation Management leaflet for details.
    7. For the avoidance of doubt, eligible customers can choose to apply the personal medical case management service and rehabilitation management service directly by themselves and call the hotline for claims enquiry without going through Health Pilot services.
    8. Charges might be incurred for some particular services which are borne by users.
    9. AIA is not the service provider or the agent of the service provider. We make no representation, warranty or undertaking as to the quality and availability of the service and shall not accept any responsibility or liability for the services provided by the service provider(s). Under no circumstance shall we be responsible or liable for the acts or omissions or services of the service provider.

     

    ^Evaluation includes the status of customer’s eligible benefit and his / her medical conditions. The service may not be applicable to certain medical conditions related to: conditions typically attended to by primary healthcare services (e.g. influenza), emergency conditions, cosmetic and aesthetic medicine, fertility and obstetrics, psychiatric and / or mental conditions, conditions which require regular management under specialised clinics (e.g. diabetes), dentistry related conditions, substance abuse related disorders and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), etc. Rehabilitation Management is only applicable for Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease patients with specific conditions.
