- Beware of scams: AIA Hong Kong is a Registered SMS sender with the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong. All SMS messages we send to local subscribers of mobile services in Hong Kong will have a sender ID beginning with prefix "#". Please also stay alert to suspicious messages from other sources such as fake websites, mobile apps, emails, and phone calls. Under no circumstances should you click on suspicious links or disclose personal information to avoid potential losses. - AIA Hong Kong & Macau was alerted on 17 and 19 August 2026 to two fraudulent SMS messages sent using AIA's name. The messages impersonated Blue Cross and attempted to deceive customers into calling fraudulent hotlines under the pretext of auto-renewal. For the detailed list, please refer to the list of reported fraudulent SMS.We want to emphasise that these SMS messages are not owned, operated, or endorsed by AIA Hong Kong & Macau. We take this matter very seriously and have already reported them to the police and/or relevant departments. We are actively coordinating with relevant law enforcement and regulatory authorities for further investigations.
